Most of my existing work cannot be published here. A large part of it involves children, teenagers, and people who shared their day with me without expecting their photos to end up online — and I never asked for their permission to do anything beyond sharing the images with them directly. I respect that, and I won't change it retroactively. What you see here will grow as I build a body of work with people who are happy to be featured publicly.
I'm a photographer based in Zürich with a real passion for the vertical world. Climbing brought me to the mountains first — and eventually I found myself wanting to document those moments as much as live them.
I have the privilege of working with Team Herkulis — documenting Swiss elite climbing athletes, including Alexandra Eyer, former Swiss champion and active elite climber, and physiotherapist Kathrin Dettling, who is part of the Herkulis team. Working alongside athletes at that level continues to sharpen my eye and push my work forward.
By day I work in software security and engineering — but sport photography is the side of my life where I get to collaborate with extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. It keeps me grounded in a way that code never quite can.
When I'm not shooting climbing, you'll find me with a long lens pointed at birds. There's something about wildlife photography that demands the same patience and timing as catching a crux move on rock.
I'm still learning. Each event, each session, each difficult light situation teaches me something the previous one didn't. Professional results might come with enough exposure — but for now it's one shoot at a time, one climb at a time, and the work keeps improving because of it.
Active elite climber and the athlete at the heart of Team Herkulis. Alexandra competes at the highest level of Swiss climbing. I document her training sessions, competition days, and outdoor projects.
alexandra-eyer.ch ↗Beyond Alexandra, I work with other Swiss national team athletes from the Herkulis team — documenting their training, competitions, and climbing objectives across Switzerland and the Alps.
Team page ↗My son and fellow climber. Competing in youth categories across Switzerland since 2023, Bartek is building a competition record that already includes multiple podiums at regional and national level.
bartekbabicz.ch ↗Whether you're a climber on a project, an athlete who wants their effort documented, or an event organiser — I'm open to talking.
I'm an amateur photographer. If you're okay with results that are passionate and honest rather than top-notch professional, I'd love to hear from you.

Cover the logistics — travel, accommodation where needed — and I'll photograph or film your project at no charge. I use the images publicly in my portfolio. A fair trade.
Flexible
Rates are firmly on the hobby side. Photography is a passion, not my main career, and I genuinely enjoy the process — so I'm not here to make a living from it. That said, gear gets used, lenses don't maintain themselves, and fuel prices keep climbing. It's still a great trade, and we'll always agree on something fair before any work begins.
